The Adventures and Wheels & Deals in FA
What we’ve heard so far today:
-LB Bart Scott offered 5 yr $40 Million from Jets: UPDATE! All reports Scott has signed with the Jets. 6 yr $48 Million
-Ravens cut DE Marques Douglas
-Ravens sign CB Dominique Foxworth, 4 years $28 million
-Ravens re-sign CB Derrick Martin
We’ll keep updating, you keep reading…

Ravens fans must be pleased to get the Terp corner. It’s an upgrade over Ivy, for sure. I figured Ray-Ray would be the only linebacker to leave. Keeping Brown has to be the priority now.
Reports are stating that keeping Scott or Lewis is a HUGE priority for the Ravens and that they are doing everything possible to keep one of them.
Foxworth is definitely a good sign. Scott to the Jets and Ray to the Boys would be trouble….
I like the Foxworth signing, I really do. But I’m just not quite sure he’s worth the money they are paying him.
Obviously, I hope he is.
I’ve said from the get-go that I thought Jason Brown should be Priority #1 once Suggs got squared away, but apparently nobody in Owings Mills agrees with me.
Brown needs to be locked up before anyone else throws big money at him. Not sure where Schefter gets his info but its not looking good as far as resigning Ray Lewis…

Well here some other free agency news Albert Haynesworth signed witht the skins. I love the Dominique Foxworth signing.
The jets just agreed to a deal with bart scott he’s a jet now.
Last I heard Thom, is “agreed in principle.” Ozzie still has a chance to match it.
Wow, this has been a truly crazy day, huh?
I’m happy about this Foxworth signing as well.
He’ll be fun to watch.
I have to step away from this hoopla…it’s driving me crazy.
I just saw on NFL.com’s Free Agent tracker that Bart Scott’s 2009 team is listed as the New York Jets. I think it’s official. I also hear that Corey Ivy and Jim Leonhard are visiting with the Jets.
Nestminder bart scoot signed for 6 48 million.
^ years 48 millin is what i meant to say.
6 years is what i meant to say lol.
Can we please keep Jim Leonhard? I have a man crush on him and I know he can’t start, maybe we can club Landry in the knee Tonya Harding style and get good ol’ Jimmy boy back on the field. He only made like $550,000 last year, we can afford to give him 1.55 million every year for at least the next 2 or 3
Scott gone, Jason Brown gone. Leonhard on the way out. Lewis is stuck—no offers for him. And, Foxworth got WAY TOO MUCH money for his worth.
