When we started this site, the scary world of blogging was just too intimidating to jump into headfirst, so I wanted to keep a bit of anonymity to my posts.  Well, with Andy Ratner’s feature on BMoreBirdsNest.com in the Baltimore Sun, all anonymity was tossed to the wayside.

And so, you now can all see who I (NestMinder) be.

This is the NestMinder.   I was born in B’More, then grew up in, and currently live in, this fine town.  I attended this institution.  I’ve been told many a time that I look like this guy.  Along with my fierce love for the Ravens and my constantly strained relationship with the Orioles, I am also a huge fan of this, this place, and these guys, and I am a Dad to one of these (and more recently, one of these).

I don’t do all this shiz alone though.  Nick-a-What!?, as he has been known, takes care of the technical aspects of the Nest, including that ever-changing banner you see up there, the Photoshop wizardry, and makin sure the search engines can find us.  I’ll let him tell you a bit more about himself.

As I, Nick-A-What!?, take the reins here, I feel that I should tell you that I am every bit the sports nut as Nestminder… juuuussst without the dramatic punching the hole in the wall thing.  I have been known to throw a cat or two though.  I grew up here and moved to Columbia, MD after graduating from the very same fine University as Nestminder.  I used to be in a band with the lead singer of this band (before they started touring the world..whoops) when we lived in Fells Point.  I’m also a huge fan of this, this and this.

Goob is a displaced Baltimorean currently residing in Raleigh, NC. Despite living five hours away, he and his extremely high BAC can be found heckling fans and players from visiting teams at M&T Bank Stadium on the regular. Goob, a non-Retriever, was educated at another Baltimore college – one that produces “Jersey Shore” cast wannabees and Super Bowl Champion Left Tackles.

After spending the last two years in NC without Orioles Baseball (Peter Angelos is a money-hungry a$$ and won’t put them on the MLB package), he switched to DirecTV where he can now view all Baltimore programming on MASN. Although he has an obsession worthy of a psychiatric evaluation for the Ravens, Goob has decided to take on the duty of commenting on a team which has underperformed for most of his life..hopefully he’ll be the lucky charm to turn the O’s around.

In his normal life, Goob is a traveling drug salesman that spends an inordinate amount of time in airplanes and hotels crying into his pillow.
